Germany’s factory orders increased in March after declining for a second consecutive month in February, according to data released by Germany’s Ministry of Economy. The country’s factory orders rose 0.9% on a seasonally and inflation adjusted basis in March following a decrease of 0.9% in the previous month. Initial estimates called for an increase of 1.5% in a survey conducted by Bloomberg. On a yearly basis, Germany’s factory orders increased 1.9% in March.

The data showed that Germany’s domestic investment goods orders increased 5.8% while orders for consumer goods fell 2.2% in March.
