According to data released by Germany’s Economy Ministry, the country’s factory orders fell 0.4% on the month in June following a revised increase of 0.1% in May. The recent figure fell below economists’ expectations which called for an increase of 0.5% in a survey by Bloomberg. On a yearly basis, meanwhile, the country’s factory orders fell 1.3% from a year earlier.

The data showed that domestic demand rose 0.7% in June while demand for investment-goods fell 13.6%. Orders from eurozone declined 8.5% month over month in June while orders from outside the eurozone climbed 3.8% during the same period.
