Germany’s industrial output posts increase in Oct

According to data from Germany’s statistics office Destatis, Germany’s industrial production posted an increase of 0.3% in October month on month when compared to the decrease of 1.6% in September. Despite the rise, the figure still stood below the expectations which called for an increase of 0.8%.
Data showed that industrial production grew only by 0.1% when energy and construction are excluded. Construction output was up by 1.7% while energy output dropped by 0.5% month on month.
