Grand Pacific, Taiwan Styrene to shut styrene units in Taiwan

According to a source close to company, Grand Pacific Petrochemical is planning to shut two styrene units in Tashe, Taiwan for a planned turnaround. Its 130,000 tons/year No.2 styrene unit is set to be shut in mid-September while the 240,000 tons/year No.2 styrene unit will shut in mid-October. The units are slated to remain offline for around 30 days each.

Meanwhile, Taiwan Styrene Monomer is also planning to shut its styrene unit in Linyuan for a planned maintenance in late August. The unit has a production capacity of 180,000 tons/year and is slated to remain offline for around 3 weeks.
