IMF: Turkey’s economy to grow by 6% in 2021
In the report, the IMF stated that the recent interventions in monetary policy paved the way for a recovery in the economy, but it exacerbated the existing vulnerabilities and made the economy more fragile to internal and external risks.
The IMF emphasized the need for a credible and detailed plan for fiscal consolidation to maintain the current tight monetary policy and the recovery of the economy in the medium term.
