Import and local PP, PE offers revealed for June in UAE

In the United Arab Emirates, players reported that Middle Eastern producers revealed their June offers with mostly rollovers to some decreases.

A converter reported receiving new offers from a Saudi major with rollovers to $10-20/ton decreases compared to their latest May levels. Accordingly, the producer’s new offers stand at $1280-1290/ton for HDPE film, $1160-1180/ton for LLDPE c4 film, $1260-1270/ton for LDPE film, and $1310-1320/ton for PP inj., and $1320-1330/ton for PP raffia, all on CIF Dubai, 90 days basis. The converter also reported receiving an offer for HDPE film from a domestic producer with rollovers from May at $1270/ton FD Dubai, cash basis excluding 5% VAT.

The converted noted that supplies are good while demand remains slow amidst the Ramadan lull. “We expect an improvement in demand after the Eid holiday as buyers will return to the market to restock inventories,” added the source.

A different converter, meanwhile, reported receiving new offers from a different Saudi producer with $20-40/ton decreases from the previous month at $1270/ton for HDPE film, $1350/ton for HDPE b/m, and $1290-1310/ton for PP inj. and raffia, CIF Dubai, 90 days. He also noted that buyers are only purchasing to cover immediate requirements.
