DCM Shriram plans to expand its PVC capacity in India from an existing 70,000 tons/year to almost 80,000 tons/year by Q3 2020 as part of its expansion and modernization projects worth INR13 billion ($185 million), the company announced in a press release.

DCM Shriram also announced plans to expand its current 450,000 tons/year caustic soda capacity by a total of more than 180,000 tons/year in phases.

Accordingly, the company’s caustic soda capacity at its Kota facility will be boosted by a total of around 60,000 tons/year, with half of that due to come on-stream in Q3 2019 and the other half in Q3 2020. The company will also add around 120,000 tons/year to its caustic soda capacity at its Bharuch facility by Q1 2020.
