According to market sources, India’s ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals plans to restart its new aromatics plant in Mangalore by December 8-9. The plant is able to produce 900,000 tons/year of PX and 270,000 tons/year of benzene.

The company will reportedly raise the operating rate of the plant following the shutdown. The plant had been operating at around 65-70% of capacity prior to the most recent shutdown.
