India’s ONGC seeks joint venture partners for ethane feedstock
ONGC Petro Additions Ltd (OPaL), a subsidiary of ONGC, operates a dual-feed cracker and plans to source 800,000 tons/year of ethane to secure feedstock for the plant from May 2028.
The proposed joint ventures will secure both local and international funding and select shipyards for the very large ethane carrier (VLEC) construction. ONGC will handle the ethane shipping and chartering of VLECs through the planned joint venture.
