According to market sources, India’s ONGC Petro additions Limited, a joint venture between India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corp., GAIL and the Gujarat State Petroleum Corp., is planning to start up its 340,000 tons/year PP (polypropylene) plant in Dahej, Gujarat by late May while the company is currently sourcing propylene from the spot market.

The company was initially expected to start up the PP plant in mid-April. However, the start up was reportedly postponed due to high project costs.
