According to market sources, India’s Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is planning to shut its PP plant at Jamnagar, Gujarat in mid-November due to a planned maintenance. The maintenance is expected to last for 25 days, though the company did not give the exact date of the shutdown as it will depend on the maintenance program planned at the refinery.

The complex is able to produce 2.03 million tons/year of PP. The PP lines will reportedly shut one after the other so that operating rates will be at about half capacity during the maintenance.
