India’s Reliance plans to start up its new Jamnagar PX plant

According to market sources, India’s Reliance Industries plans to start up its new PX plant at Jamnagar by the end of this year or early 2016. The plant is expected to be able to produce 2.2 million tons of PX per year and around 500,000 tons/year of benzene.

Reliance is also planning to launch its new PTA plant in Dahej at the same time as the startup of its Jamnagar PX plant. The PTA plant is set to have a production capacity of 1.12 million tons/year.
