India’s anti-dumping duties on PVC imports from US, Thailand, China expire

Traders reported that India’s anti-dumping duties on PVC imports from the US, Thailand, China expired as of February 12 as the government has not issued any new notification for a further extension or investigation.
According to players, the expiration of the duties could mean more Chinese, Thai and US cargoes finding their way to Asia, putting extra pressure on the key Indian markets.
The duties were imposed first in 2014 for five years and were extended in June 2019 for another 30 months.
Following the extension, India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry had revised anti-dumping rates in July 2019.
