According to media reports, Indian Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reported that the Indian government has plans to establish new petrochemical complexes in Eastern, Western and Southern of the country with an aim of addressing the increasing demand for polymers and specialty chemicals from different industrial segments.

The new complexes will be integrated with the country’s refineries, thereby optimally benefiting from the whole value production chain.

In line with the government’s plans, India’s petrochemicals market is expected to grow 9% annually to reach $65-70 billion revenues by 2019-2020.
