Indian Oil lets contracts for two new PP units

According to a press release, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) has awarded two sizeable technology contracts to the US-based McDermott International, Inc. for the license and basic engineering design of its new PP units.
As part of the contracts, the company will use McDermott’s technology at its 200,000 tons/year PP plant in Barauni, India, as well as another 420,000 tons/year PP plant in Gujarat, India.
However, the companies did not elaborate on the exact value of the contracts or the expected completion date of the proposed plants.
