Indian Oil to increase capacity of Panipat cracker

According to media reports, Indian Oil is planning to increase the capacity of their naphtha cracker in Panipat, India. Once the expansion is completed, the cracker’s capacity is slated to increase to 1.2 million tons/year from its current capacity of 850,000 tons/year.

The expansion cost is estimated at around $500 million while the expansion is slated to be completed by 2019.
