An Indian PP producer has resumed offering to Turkey after an absence during the last couple of months stemming from a maintenance shutdown at its plant at Jamnagar which ended on January 18. Currently, the producer is offering homo PP raffia and injection at $1100/ton CIF Turkey, subject to 3% customs duty, cash, while they don’t offer BOPP grade.
“We are planning to stay adamant at our PP prices since we have limited volumes to offer. We believe the market will move up in February in tandem with lack of comfortable availability in general as well as strong expectations in the post-holiday period in China,” a source from the producer stated.
Homo PP prices for this origin were last reported by players at $1030-1040/ton CIF, subject to 3% duty, cash in the last quarter of 2016.
