Indian government includes PVC, PP in BIS certification

According to a decree published on the Official Gazette of India on February 26, the Indian government will include polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polypropylene (PP) moulding and extrusion in the mandatory Bureau of India Standards (BIS) certification process for chemicals and petrochemical imports.
The enforcement of BIS certification for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polypropylene (PP) moulding and extrusion will come into force on the expiry of 180 days from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
