Indonesia’s Asahimas delays VCM, PVC restart

According to sources close to the company, Indonesia’s Asahimas Chemical PT delayed the restart of its VCM and PVC plants. The VCM plant, which was initially planned to restart in mid-May, and the PVC plant, which was initially scheduled to restart in the third week of May, will both be taken back online next week.
The VCM plant has a production capacity of 400,000 tons/year while the PVC plant can produce 300,000 tons/year.
