Indonesia’s Asahimas shuts VCM plant

According to sources close to the company, Indonesia’s Asahimas shut its No 3 VCM plant at Anyer this week for an unplanned maintenance. The plant has a production capacity of 400,000 ton/year.
The maintenance is expected to last for a week. “Even if there is a delay for the restart, it will take maximum two weeks,” the source said.
The company is also preparing for another round of maintenance shutdowns on its VCM plants in the first quarter of 2017.
