Indonesia’s Asahimas to shut its PVC, VCM plants

According to a source close to the company, Indonesia’s Asahimas Chemical (ASC) is planning to shut its PVC and VCM plants in the middle of September.

The company’s 550,000 tons/year PVC and 800,000 tons/year VCM plants are expected to be offline for 2 weeks and for a month, respectively.
