According to a source close to the company, Indonesia’s Chandra Asri Petrochemical is planning to restart its cracker on June 21 or 22. The company shut the cracker due to some technical problems on June 3. The cracker is able to produce 600,000 tons/year of ethylene and 320,000 tons/year of propylene.

The source also stated that the company’s 480,000 tons/year PP plant is currently operating at 85-90% of its capacity.

Meanwhile, according to market sources, Chandra Asri is also planning to restart its butadiene unit this weekend. The company shut the 100,000 tons/year plant in early June because of an unexpected cracker outage.
