According to media reports, Indonesia’s Chandra Asri Petrochemical’s (CAP) net profit rose 42% to $26.3 million in 2015 from $18.4 million in the previous year. The company’s gross profit margin also climbed to 10.6% from 4.8% a year earlier. The company source cited stronger product margins and lower costs of raw materials stemming from low oil prices as the main factors behind their stronger financial results in 2015.

However, Chandra Asri’s net revenues declined to $1.38 billion last year from $2.46 billion in 2014 due to a 25% decline in sales volumes a result of an 85-day planned shutdown for their cracker expansion project.
