Indonesia's Chandra Asri shuts cracker in Cilegon

According to market sources, Indonesia’s Chandra Asri shut its naphtha cracker in Cilegon on December 19 due to a technical breakdown. The cracker has a production capacity of 600,000 tons/year of ethylene and 306,000 tons/year of propylene.

Previously it was reported that the company is planning to expand the ethylene production capacity of the cracker to 860,000 tons/year.
