Ineos Styrolution to develop recycling process for PS in US
The joint project is based on Agilyx’s "chemical recycling" technology, which will conduct the depolymerization of post-consumer PS waste. It is also planned to produce high-quality PS by using GPPS and HIPS. The resulting recycled material is expected to be used in food-related products.
Ineos Styrolution has received funding from the German Federal Ministry for the project and several technical institutes will reportedly contribute their support.
The project is slated to run for three years.
