Initial November propylene contract settles in US

According to market sources, an initial September propylene contract settled in the US. The initial propylene contract was agreed with a decrease of 6 cents/lb ($132/ton) from October at 35.5 cents/lb ($782/ton) FD USG for polymer-grade propylene and at 34 cents/lb ($749/ton) for chemical grade.
Sources reported that the new settlement level beat market expectations which had called for a drop of 3-4 cents in November.
If the new settlement sees widespread acceptance, the contract price will indicate the lowest level since July 2016.
