Initial October PX contract settles in Europe

According to market sources, an initial PX contract has been settled in Europe at €745/ton FD NWE ($878/ton), up €5-15/ton ($6-18/ton) from September’s split settlement of €730-740/ton.
Spot PX prices were last reported at $795/ton FOB NWE in Europe, down $25/ton from a week earlier.
Despite the higher settlement in the PX contract, the trend has already turned stable to soft in the downstream PET market across Europe.
