According to media reports, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani reportedly said that they have agreed to increase bilateral trade with Vietnam following the removal of sanctions. The countries aim to increase their bilateral trade volume to $2 billion within five years from the current volume of $350 million.

In addition, Iran and Vietnam agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the central banks of the two countries as the first step to boost economic cooperation.
