Iran’s GDP growth increased 4.4% in the first quarter

According to media reports, Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) has reported that in the first quarter of the Iranian year started from March, Iran’s gross domestic product (GDP), excluding oil increased 4.4% when compared with the same period of 2015. SCI figures show that the country’s GDP including oil is at 6.7 billion dollars while GDP excluding oil is at 5.4 billion dollars.

During the first quarter of the Iranian year, agriculture rose 4% while industry is up 8.8% and services rose 2.9%. The highest increase is seen on the industry section considering the rise in exports of crude oil and natural gas.
