According to media reports, Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister Abbas She’ri-Moqaddam reported that Iran will build a gas to propylene (GTP) plant. The estimated cost of the plant was reported at around €90 million ($102.2 million) while an unnamed European bank will invest in the proposed project.

The plant is slated to have a production capacity of 120,000 tons/year while it reportedly will be established as a joint venture with the National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NPC).
