Italy’s Versalis declares FM on LDPE/EVA output from Ragusa

According to a source close to the company, Italy’s Versalis declared a force majeure on LDPE and EVA output from its facility in Ragusa due to a fire on January 7.
The Ragusa plant has name plate capacity of 165,000 tons year. Of this capacity, LDPE production accounts for 150,000 tons/year while the remainder is dedicated to EVA production.
