According to the National Statistics Office (ISTAT), Italy’s GDP grew by 0.2% in Q1 of 2017, stable from the previous quarter, and matched the expectations.

According to the data, the growth in Q1 was 0.8% on a yearly basis in Q1, slightly down from 1%.
The data showed that the country’s economy has been growing since Q1 of 2015 although its growth is comparatively slower than the other major European countries due to weak external demand.
