January butadiene contracts settle in US

According to market sources, January butadiene contracts have settled in the US. The new settlement was agreed at around 50 cents/Ib ($1102/ton), with a fall of 0.75 cent/Ib ($17/ton) from December.
The lower contracts came in line with the globally weak sentiment and declining crude oil prices.
Spot butadiene prices in the US were last reported at around 40 cents/lb ($880/ton) CIF USG, down by around 10 cents/lb ($220/ton) from a month earlier.
