Japan’s Idemitsu nominates September PX contract

According to market sources, Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan nominated its September PX contract to Asia. The producer’s new nomination stands at $780/ton CFR, down $40/ton from its August nomination. The last major PX settlement was reached at $925/ton CFR in May.

In August, Idemitsu and China’s Yisheng Petrochemical reached a partial settlement at $820/ton CFR, although no major settlement was for August.

Previously, Japan’s JX Nippon Oil and Energy also announced its September PX contract at $810/ton CFR, down $50/ton from its August announcement.
