Japan’s JX Nippon settles May benzene contract

According to market sources, Japan’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy settled its May benzene contract in Asia with a decrease of $5/ton from the April settlement at $790/ton CFR.
The company had initially nominated its May benzene contract at $825/ton CFR Asia.
Meanwhile, Asia’s spot benzene prices were last reported at around $765/ton on FOB South Korea basis, down $35/ton from a week earlier and down $45/ton from early April.
