Japan’s JX Nippon settles its February benzene contract

Japan’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy has settled its February benzene contract at $550/ton CFR Asia, down $20/ton from its initial nomination for the month, according to market sources. JX Nippon Oil & Energy’s January settlement had been reported at $570/ton with the same terms.
In Asia, spot benzene prices are reported at around $540/ton on an FOB South Korea basis, down around $15/ton from a week earlier.
