According to market sources, Japan’s Tosoh is planning to shut its 250,000 tons/year No. 1 VCM plant and 600,000 tons/year No.3 VCM plant in Nanyo for annual maintenance in 2017.

The maintenance of the No.1 VCM plant is expected during the May-June period in 2017. The No. 3 VCM plant will be shut around September-October 2017.

Meanwhile, the company had shut its No.3 VCM plant at the end of August because of an annual turnaround. It is expected to be restarted on Friday.
