July butadiene contract settles in US

According to market sources, July butadiene contracts have been settled in the US. The new split contract stands at 38-49 cents/lb ($838-1080/ton), up 6-8 cents/lb ($132-176/ton) from June.

TPC Group reportedly settled its July contract at 38 cents/lb ($838-1080/ton), up 6 cents/lb ($132/ton) from June while Shell Chemicals and LyondellBasell settled their new contract with an increase of 6 cents/lb ($132/ton) at 41 cents/lb ($904/ton) from a month earlier. ExxonMobil, meanwhile, settled its July butadiene contract at 49 cents/lb ($1080/ton), up 8 cents/lb ($176/ton) from June, according to market players.
