According to market sources, June propylene contracts have started to settle in the US. The new contracts were agreed with a decrease of 2 cents/lb ($44/ton) from May at 40 cents/lb ($882/ton) for polymer-grade propylene and at 38.5 cents/lb ($849/ton) for chemical-grade propylene. If the new contracts see widespread acceptance, they will be the lowest levels seen since June 2009.

The initial nominations were reportedly indicating rollovers from May while market expectations called for a decrease of 1-2 cents/lb ($22-44/ton).
