Kuwait’s PIC to acquire 25% stake in South Korea's SK Gas

According to media reports, Kuwait’s Petrochemical Industries (PIC) has signed an agreement to acquire a 25% stake in South Korea’s SK Gas. Under the new deal, PIC will invest $100 million in SK Gas’ new PDH project in South Korea, which will be able to produce 600,000 tons/year of propylene.
The project is expected to begin trial production in the first quarter of this year while commercial production is slated to begin in March.
