LATEST NEWS: Saudi major issues notable PE hikes to Turkey in Jan

Turkish PE consumers reported receiving initial January offers from a Saudi Arabian major this week. The producer’s latest offers indicated $100/ton hikes from last December levels.
Accordingly, the producer revealed its new prices at $1200/ton for LLDPE C4 film and $1230/ton for HDPE film, both on FCA Turkey bonded-warehouse, subject to 6.5% custom duty, cash.
The supplier’s December offers had been close to the low end of the overall Middle Eastern price ranges. “Thus, we were already expecting notable price hike from the major producer for the new month,” players noted.
Most converters held onto their cautious stance as they expect the supplier to concede to small discounts on their transactions, in the meantime.
Turkey’s import PE market extended its increases into the new-year on the back of supply limitations and higher logistic costs.
