LATEST NEWS: Taiwanese major lifts March PVC offers to Asia

According to traders, a major Taiwanese producer increased its March offers to Asian markets by $20/ton from February. This has been the tenth consecutive monthly hike from the producer.

The price announcement for March came earlier than usual given the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday which will start in mid-February this year.

The producer’s new PVC K67-68 offers for March stand at $1340/ton CIF India and $1210/ton CFR China. Traders added that the Taiwanese major was not giving a volume discount.

Ahead of the announcement, Asian PVC players were largely expecting the major producer to announce its new offers with a rollover from February due to falling prices in China’s local market. However, a combination of the continuing absence of deep-sea cargoes and good demand from India kept the market on a firm note.
