LATEST NEWS: Taiwanese major raises Sep PVC prices to Asia

A major Taiwanese producer has notified sizeable increases on its September offers to Asian markets for the second month in a row.
The producer’s new PVC K67-68 offers for September are $80/ton higher from August at $900/ton CIF India, and $70/ton higher at $885/ton CIF China and $840/ton FOB Taiwan. No volume discount is being offered by the major, as a side note.
Players noted that the $70-80/ton hike amounts were beyond earlier market predictions, as most participants were expecting the major producer to apply $30-60/ton hikes for September.
According to ChemOrbis Price Index data, both import and local prices in India, China, and Southeast Asia have been on a rising trend since around mid-July.
