LATEST NEWS: Türkiye imposes additional duties on plastic compound imports from non-WTO countries
Accordingly, an additional financial obligation of $120/ton will be imposed on polyethylene compounds under the 3901.10.90.00.12 HS code (Customs Tariff Statistics Position) along with the customs duty rate. Polyethylene compounds with 3901.20.90.00.12 HS code will also be subject to an additional financial obligation of $200/ton in addition to customs duty.
An additional financial obligation of $50/ton will be applied on top of customs duty ratefor polystyrene in expandable or initial shapes and polystyrene in initial shapes other than expandable under 3903.11.00.00.00.00 and 3903.19.00.00.00.00 HS codes, respectively.
For some products, an additional financial obligation of $400/ton will be applied along with the customs duty rate for non-WTO countries (except the Republic of Azerbaijan). The products are listed as rigid pipes and hoses from ethylene polymers under the 3917.21.10.00.00 HS code, other rigid pipes and other hoses from ethylene polymers under the 3917.21.90.00.00 HS code, and other pipes and other hoses from plastic under the 3917.32.00.10.00 HS code.
In addition, the list also included non-printed stretch film from polyethylene under the 3920.10.24.00.00 HS code; other plates, sheets, films, foils and strips from polyethylene under the 3920.10.25.00.00 HS code; and sheets, plates, strips, films, etc. from vinyl chloride polymers under the 3920.49.90.00.00 HS code.
