According to Reuters, Libya’s Al-Majid oil field, which has a production capacity of 5,000 barrels/day, is expected to resume oil production on July 1, following a shutdown that lasted for about 8 months due to power issues.

Libya also fully operates its Sharara and Wafa oil fields after many shutdowns that stemmed from political conflicts while it is also planning to expand the capacity of its Zawiya refinery as part of its plans to increase its oil production capacity.

The country is also exempt from OPEC’s oil cut agreement.
