According to media reports, Libya’s two oil fields, Sharara and El Feel, reopened after two years. The two oilfields are expected to increase production by 175,000 barrels/day next month and by 270,000 barrels/day over the following three months, which is estimated to add $4.5 billion to the country’s economy in 2017.

The production capacity of Sharara, which is run by NOC, Repsol, Total, OMV and Statoil, is 330,000 barrels/day while the production capacity of El Feel, which is run by the NOC and Italy’s ENI, is 90,000 barrels/day.
