Lockdown in Hubei, China ends, Wuhan to follow suit in April

Following intense quarantine measures for two months, Chinese officials stated that they ended lockdown in Hubei on March 24 as no new local cases have been reported for the last five days.
All travel restrictions in and out of Hubei have also been removed as of yesterday, the Health Commission reported.
On the other hand, Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak, will remain under lockdown until April 8.
Both provinces went under lockdown on January 23, with death tolls increasing rapidly amid the coronavirus pandemic.
