Long Son to start test operations at new petchem complex in Vietnam

According to media sources, Long Son PC Co. will start test operations at the $5.1 billion Southern Petrochemical Complex as of November.
Located in the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Vietnam, the complex will have 500,000 tons/year propylene, 1 million tons/year ethylene, 400,000 tons/year PP, 500,000 tons/year HDPE and 500,000 tons/year LLDPE production capacity.
The complex is expected to start commercial operations after the test period is completed, which corresponds to early 2024.
