Lotte Chemical Indonesia plans to build new steam cracker

According to a company statement, Lotte Chemical Indonesia is planning to construct a new naphtha-fed steam cracker at Cilegon, Indonesia. The cracker is slated to start operations by 2023. The company will utilize Lotte Chemical Titan’s existing land and facilities to build the cracker.
The total investment cost of the new cracker is expected to be approximately $3.5 billion while the cracker is planned to have a production capacity of 1 million tons/year ethylene and 600,000 tons/year propylene.
