According to a source close to the company, LyondellBasell has unexpectedly shut its 350,000 tons/year LDPE unit in Aubette, France.
The plant is expected to remain offline for only a few days, the source reported.
Meanwhile, some market players pointed out to the lack of availability for certain LDPE grades from the producer until December.
